MasterLink endeavors to be a business partner with our clients.  We believe that to appropriately address their needs, it is necessary to understand the business drivers and overall business strategy of each organization.  It is our belief that by focusing on those business challenges and drivers we can partner with our clients, enabling us to provide:  the best Business Solutions that fit business initiatives, strategy, compliance requirements or resolve business problems; the right Technology to implement and support the business solution; insight to assist with development of a Strategy that determines a roadmap, improves utilization of resources, increases profitability, maintains client satisfaction and retains employees; our broad Expertise which is key to successful implementation of the technologies and Processes needed to solve the defined business solution.

Our methodology includes a phased approach consisting of:


  • Business Analysis
  • Assessment
  • Analyze and Plan
  • Review and Validate
  • Execute, Support and Improve


No two companies have the same business requirements and goals; therefore, it is critical to define your business initiatives and goals for your organization.  This is defined and communicated through the Business Analysis phase of the cycle.  During this phase, MasterLink consultants review with you the business needs, the requirements for your stated business goals, your risk comfort level and your business processes.

The Assessment uses both a business and technical level approach to understand the complete IT picture.  From the business perspective, MasterLink interviews management, leadership and functional teams (i.e. Legal, HR, Finance, Sales, etc.) to understand strategies, initiatives and challenges.  From the technical perspective, MasterLink determines what is actually happening on the network and communications infrastructure.

As we move forward in the process with you and your team, MasterLink will Analyze the information gathered in the Business Analysis and Assessment phases and define a Plan to implement corrective actions, improvement or business solutions that are dependent upon the findings of the earlier phases.  All recommendations for change are defined and determined by the findings in the Business Analysis and Assessment phases.  It is the information gathered and outlined in these phases, along with MasterLink's experience in solving IT business issues for clients in many business industries, that ultimately shapes the plan.

MasterLink considers the Review and Validate phase of this cycle to be critical to the project's overall success.  This phase provides the framework necessary for management to prioritize the analysis findings and define next steps and the strategy for moving forward.

Once the plan is defined it is time to Execute.  MasterLink believes that solid execution requires planning and management to achieve successful goals.  Support requirements vary from company to company.  In order for the execution of the changes to be successful, there has to be a support model in place to ensure that the environment is maintained.  A support strategy could include traning of existing staff, outsourcing or implementation of tools to assist.  Each business will have different requirements.

Because our business environments are continually evolving, it is critical to continue the process by monitoring the environment and the impact of any changes.  As a result of monitoring the environment, you become awarre of how to Improve it as the business evolves.  Managing the lifecycle of the environment to the business strategy is key to successful growth and longevity.
