MasterLink’s team of engineering and IT professionals provide a variety of assessment services to assist clients in planning a project or enhancing their core network infrastructure to add advanced applications.
Assessment services include but are not limited to the following:
Business System Discovery, Analysis & Planning
MasterLink recommends that all clients undergo a business analysis and planning review annually and/or in advance of any major projects. This analysis includes a full inventory of the core infrastructure components, and an analysis of those components in light of planned projects or planning goals. The client receives a detailed review of the assessment inventory and recommendations to achieve the project or planning goals in a Statement of Work document. This Statement of Work also includes a detailed roadmap and estimates for recommended services, and detailed hardware and software requirements to meet the outlined goals.
Infrastructure Readiness Assessments
A key component to moving forward with infrastructure improvements is making sure that your WAN and LAN infrastructure is able to effectively support advanced applications such as communications. This includes the evaluation of: bandwidth requirements, IOS/Firmware levels of the WAN and switching equipment, capacity of the WAN and switching components, protocols being utilized on the network, routing rules and security practices. MasterLink has expertise in this area to aid our clients in making sure their environments will effectively support advanced applications, and if necessary, provide recommendations on how to get to that level.
Wireless Site Surveys
Wireless Site Surveys provide customers with a map of their wireless environment as it relates to RF coverage, signal to noise ratios, channel allocation, SSIDs being broadcast, access point density, and channel interference. Wireless surveys can be done on an existing Wi-Fi network installation, and are usually done before a wireless project is implemented to ensure the desired results.
Wireless Security Assessments
Wireless Security and Performance assessments provide customers with a review of the wireless environment as it relates to exposure to security vulnerabilities. These vulnerabilities are identified and analyzed, and the customer is presented with Industry Best Practice remediation actions. In addition, MasterLink will provide the documentation needed for compliance with auditing and standards such as Sarbanes-Oxley, Gramm-Leach-Bliley, HIPAA, Department of Defense, and the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard.
